"I'm doing everything I knew I needed to do before.
I launched the first iteration of my online coaching program, which is why I came to The Arena in the first place.
I had a target of having 10 clients in that first iteration, and I ended up with 15. I've got that momentum going."
After leaving a career in investment banking, Tom opened a fitness training company in Singapore.
The business was doing well and growing through referrals, but the long hours were draining. He barely had any time for himself between the business, his wife, and their kid.
He knew something needed to change.
"I was launching the first iteration of my online coaching business, and I was waiting for the right moment to do it and make sure everything was ready and all this kind of stuff.
I was sitting on all of these ideas and procrastinating and not going ahead and going for it. I couldn't figure out why, even though I knew this was what I wanted to do next."
So Tom joined The Arena, and we got to work.
Not on the business details but on why he wasn't executing.
On figuring out why someone as capable as him was procrastinating on an opportunity that was right in front of him.
We came to peace with certain things he was avoiding and specific fears holding him back… Once we did that, everything shifted.
First, on an internal level:
"The sheer fact that I'd been able to take that step to launch it was so pleasing for me because now I'm learning, developing content, and doing all the things that I knew I needed to do before.
I feel like I've got that momentum going."
And the results followed:
"I launched the program with a target of having 10 clients in that first iteration, and I ended up with 15!
It comes down to executing what I knew I needed to do.
There were all these things in my mind that I knew I needed to do, and I wasn't executing them. Being able to admit that to myself was massive."
What's also important to note is that Tom isn't afraid of hard work. Even before joining The Arena, he was doing the work.
"I tried a couple of online coaching courses related to fitness and how to start your online training business… And don't get me wrong; they taught me quite a lot of content in terms of the practical element.
But no matter how much I knew about that and how much I was learning about it, I still wasn't executing it.
How do I actually apply these things? Right? And that's what The Arena taught me."
This is who he thinks should Join the Arena:
"It's for people that have specific things and goals that they are trying to achieve in life but are struggling to achieve them.
Itamar said in the program that "winners win," and it rang true.
You were surrounded by people who were trying to win. They were trying to level up. Everyone was ambitious.
If you're ambitious and at the same time honest and vulnerable, you'll succeed."
On a personal level, it's fantastic to see Tom stop procrastinating and access his full bank of abilities, jump to the next phase of his business, and win big like this…
To see a winner win.
How to Stop Procrastinating and Take Your Next Big Jump
It's simple:
- Ask yourself, "Am I content with my current achievements?"
- Decide when you'll take action
- Get to work

P.S.
When we asked Tom what surprised him the most about The Arena, he said this:
"There's no fluff in this program.
I remember asking, "How does it work? Do I need to do a lot of preparation or reading? Is it like a load of videos I need to watch?"
And Itamar said, 'No, you need to show up for the calls, and that's it.'
It's incredible because you join the calls for 3 hours a week and are so focused.
In the programs I've done in the past, I haven't been able to keep up with the sheer volume of stuff.
There's a call about this, a call about that…. Now you've got your check-in and your 1-on-1 in your group call, and you've got to read that library and watch that video. It was information overload.
Meanwhile, the way The Arena worked was that you showed up, and every week, you followed on from the previous one.
It had this compound effect with very, very practical takeaways each time.
I loved it, and it is unique. I never had come across that before."
